September Weekend is fast approaching and it’s a great opportunity to stay local and get involved with events that are taking place in and around Glasgow and East Renfrewshire!

The Glasgow Cathedral Festival takes place every year brings life to Glasgow’s oldest building.
In this year’s programme you can see seven fabulous concerts and tours. It’s a celebration of dance, music and you can even take advantage of the enhanced education programme. Perfect for people of all ages and tastes.

This festival is taking place this September Weekend and features four days of International DJ’s and incredible cocktails in the best venues across Glasgow. The festival will feature pop-up cocktail bars, street food and music. There is also a masterclass to learn how to make your favourite drinks. Find out more.

The Explorathon is a night of exploration and curiosity, where you can hands on with fun activities for all ages and discover the incredible research happening in the city, from music and literature to psychology and physics.

Suitable for children and adults, this is one of the oldest forms of photography. This family friendly workshop is at the Studio Pavilion and you can learn how to create your own designs. The event is at the House for an Art Lover and takes place on September 27th. Find out more.

For avid fans of movies, comics, video games, sci-fi, anime or cosplay this is a must visit. Meet special guests from a brilliant line-up; explore a Comic Village packed with artists and writers; get gaming; watch on-stage panels and check out some amazing costumes in the Cosplay Masquerade. Suitable for the whole family you can let your mini-superhero earn their cape in the KidsZone and discover a whole host of stands with the latest goodies, gadgets, collectibles, and toys.

Bring the children along to the enchanted garden and woodland for a magical event at this stunning venue. There are fun themed activities and when you first arrive you’ll be given a challenge sheet with all activities listed to tick off on completion. Discover your faery/elf name and then begin at any activity you choose. These include a faery trail in the garden, make a magic wand, make some elf & faery slime, and go foraging in the woodland for all the things you need to make an elf & faery tea party. All activities are outdoors so dress appropriately!
