Here in East Renfrewshire the property market is buoyant with demand outweighing current supply especially for family homes within catchment of our excellent schooling.  This month Rightmove has reported record asking prices across every region of the UK for every property type. This has not been seen since 2007.

A high number of buyers per property

We are in a highly competitive market with a database full of people who have missed out on homes in East Renfrewshire. More people are looking to buy than homes are available – which means we are seeing record prices being achieved. Sellers have the best chance of finding a buyer for their property than during any time in the last 10 years.

Favourable mortgage rates

Mortgage interest rates are still low despite reports that these will rise in the near future, and lenders are keen to offer loans. You still have a window to secure a great rate and can get a mortgage offer in principle which will help your buying power.

High prices being achieved

Across the UK asking prices have hit record highs, so now is a good time to maximise the value of your home. If you have already sold your property subject to contract or you don’t have a property to sell, you are in an incredibly good negotiating position. Sellers will choose a buyer who is in a position to proceed with the purchase even if it means taking a slightly lower offer from them. So make sure you have sold your home and have a mortgage offer in place.
