You have probably seen the logo proudly displayed on our website, Nicol Estate Agents are a part of the Propertymark group – the housing regulator that offers buyers, sellers, renters, homeowners and landlords enhanced protection, setting the highest of standards for property professionals in the UK. Propertymark has just launched their first advertising campaign across media this week to highlight the importance of using an agent offering Propertymark Protection.

Launching in February this year, Propertymark combines five previously separate regulators (ARLA, NAEA, NAVA, ICBA and APIP) under the one umbrella, creating the strongest level of protection and regulation that the UK housing market has seen, and much more than is legally required by UK law. Estate agents, letting agents and auctioneers who display the ‘Propertymark Protected’ logo are actively ensuring the maximum in standards and protection for their clients.

Being a Propertymark estate agent means we are backed by a Client Money Protection (CMP) scheme, giving our customer’s peace of mind that their property and assets are secure. Amongst other requirements, member agents must keep up-to-date with the latest legislative and best practice procedures to ensure they are offering the highest level of expertise and advice to their customers. Propertymark also gives power to owners and renters by offering a complaints procedure if things do ever go wrong and is also there to provide guidance and independent advice in what can be a difficult sector to navigate.
