As estate agents, we understand that your home is a place of self expression, a place where you set the rules. However we also realise that when it comes to interior design, some of us need to draw inspiration from others.
That is why we have chosen to highlight the Pantone colour of the year 2023, digital lavender, along with some other colour palettes showcased at design shows over the past year.
Earthy tones and neutrals will always have their place, however there are some bold choices to explore for those brave enough. Browse through our top picks below and give your home interiors a fresh new look.
It’s entirely down to you whether you implement them though your home furnishings and accessories or with a fresh lick of paint.

The most documented of colour trends for 2023, Pantone’s choice of Digital Lavender is a soft and subtle pastel purple which features a slight tint of blue. Said to promote both a cheerful mood and relaxing living atmosphere at the same time, this gender neutral colour choice can be used in a multitude of applications.
What room of my home can I use it in? Bathrooms and Bedrooms due to its relaxing qualities.
What colours can I pair with it? Grey, White, Beige, Sand & Black

By contrast, you then also have the statement of Raspberry Blush as one of this year’s top contenders.
A slightly less daunting approach to bringing red in to your home, Raspberry Blush is a coral based shade which is unapologetic in its boldness. This warm hue is a real conversation starter and ideal for social spaces or high traffic areas of your home.
What room of my home can I use it in? Due to its warm and welcoming qualities, the colour is perfect for Living Rooms, Dining Rooms, Conservatories and hallways.
What colours can I pair with it? Green, Black, Brown & Navy Blue.

And finally, we would like to introduce Spanish Moss – a unique blend of blue and green, used to create this rich and pulsating colour.
A real mood setter, this darker nature inspired colour palette has an organic feel when introduced to your home.
Calming in a sense, it can be easily styled to suit industrial and modern home tastes.
What room of my home can I use it in? Bedrooms, bathrooms and home offices.
What colours can I pair with it? Grey, gold, cream, beige, white & black.

So as you can see, the colour wheel for 2023 is extremely varied, ranging in everything from pastels to dark green shades. However we hope we’ve provided you with something that has inspired you to tackle that design itch you’ve had in the new year.
Decorating is all about experimentation, so we suggest picking up a few paint swatches and seeing what works for you and your home.
