Ghosts, ghouls, witches and wizards should head along to Barrhead’s first ever Hallowe’en Parade, which will see over 100 members of local groups, organisations and businesses join together for a spooky stroll throughout the town in fearsome fancy dress, with prizes for best costume to be won! There will be live music and torch-bearers guiding the way, with the parade starting at Tesco at approximately 5pm, heading down Cross Arthurlie Street, along Carlibar Road and onto Main Street, finishing at the Community Square outside of Asda, where everyone will congregate for a big community get-together. The two Barrhead Fancy Dress Champions will be crowned (one under-10 and one over-10) who will both walk away with a £50 cash prize! To round up, there will be a spectacular firework finale at 6:30pm! If you, or your group, wish to take part in the parade, please email [email protected] for more details.
