– Hi Daniel, tell us a little about yourself.
I am 23 and have worked with Nicol Estate Agents for nearly 2 years. My wife and I live in Newton Mearns and we have lived in the local area all our lives. I went to Hutcheson’s Grammar School and then went onto study Business at Napier University.
– What is your role at Nicol Estate Agents?
My job title is Estate Agent & Valuer – but I am a little bit of everything, as we all are in our office! On a day to day basis, I assist with viewings, negotiations, brochure designs, photography and home valuations.
– Tell us three best things about working for Nicol Estate Agents.
I love the area we work for and because I also live locally, it is my absolute pride to offer clients valuable insights into the local property market as well as campaign about all the benefits of living in East Renfrewshire.
I also enjoy the office atmosphere and culture. Because Nicol Estate Agents is a family business we are able to offer a bespoke service with a personal touch for clients of all ages. Karen, Douglas and the team have many years’ experience and are great to learn from.
The third great thing about working for Nicol Estate Agents is that we focus solely on residential sales and can assist buyers and sellers whatever reason for their move. That means that no two days are the same, we get to meet many people from all walks of life, get involved in the local community and make a lasting difference in people’s lives by helping them find their next dream home.
– What has been your favourite project so far?
I am very proud of being involved in the sale of new build properties – recently we launched a new build development in which I took control of and we managed to have all properties reserved with one week! It was great to see the excitement on the clients faces about their new homes.
– How do you balance your career and family life?
I never really switch off from work, always keen to know what is going on and how I can help more and more people. I do a lot of family things at night and at the weekend – I have a good balance. Living locally though, I am never far away if needed.
– What kind of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I enjoy socialising with friends and family and going out for dinner and visiting the cinema at Silverburn. I have an interest in cars and love being outdoors and going for walks.
