With January out of the way we’re one step closer to Spring! There’s the February long weekend school holiday coming up so you’ll be after some ideas to keep the kids happy too – our friends at What’s On East Renfrewshire, as usual, have it covered. Here are a few February and March local East Renfrewshire events to help us all out of our winter hibernation.
Blow the winter cobwebs away with a spot of birdwatching down at Dams to Darnley Country Park alongside the countryside rangers. Join in on a winter wander to see which birds are visiting Balgray Reservoir this year on a four mile walk throughout the peaceful grounds of the park. Wear appropriate clothing, bring binoculars if you have them and meet at Balgray Reservoir car park. Advanced booking is required by contacting the countryside ranger service on 01415774053 – children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Throughout the year the countryside rangers will be delivering a series of community events, activities and guided walks for all the family offering a great chance to catch some fresh air, connect to nature and learn more about our local wildlife.
