A supreme tribute to one of the world’s greatest ever rock bands is coming to Eastwood Park Theatre in April! Supreme Queen have been on the go since 1995, paying homage to one of Britain’s most loved groups. Freddie lookalike Scott Maley is uncanny as the charismatic frontman with the powerful voice to match and the band has honed their cover versions with huge attention to detail. A night full of all the Queen hits, sure to take you back to the days of Bohemian Rhapsody!

It wouldn’t be Easter without an Easter egg hunt! Organised in conjunctions with National Trust for Scotland and taking place across the country, join in the fun at the Cadbury East Egg Hunt at Greenbank House and Garden. Collect your map, follow the clues, solve the puzzles and try and find your chocolate egg treasure! Each map shows a different trail – so you can even take part more than once! Dog lovers and owners will come together on 07 May for a dog walking event to raise funds for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. A family and dog friendly event, join in with a picturesque walk at Whitelee Windfarm. There are two walks to choose from – one at 4km and one 8km- plus lots of stalls and activities as well as the chance to meet some adorable working hearing dogs. Walking routes should be accessible to wheelchair users and buggies, however some areas of ground may be looser than others. Registration from 10am and departure at 11am.

The third annual Eaglesham Beer Festival will take place on 27 May this year on the Eaglesham playing fields. Due to an overwhelming turnout last year, this year’s festival is going to be even bigger and better, with more tickets on sale in advance. Be quick though because they are selling fast! On the day, enjoy tipples by brewers such as WEST, Drygate, Up Front Brewing, Sulwath Brewery, Kelburn, Harviestoun and many more, including a special own brew this year – Eaglesham Brew. For non-beer drinkers Bijou Wine will have fine wines and prosecco, Thistly Cross will serve up refreshing cider and Eden Mills with have plenty of G&T to sample too! Food stalls will have tastes from around the world to try courtesy of the Bowl Food Truck and the award-winning Burger Meats Bun. Live music from Glasgow’s very Shiverin Sheiks and Mr Wilson’s Second Liners from Leeds, completes the festivities! Kids are welcome on the day too.
